The Admissions Receptionist is a critical role to the Caron experience.
You will be working at our welcome center providing a positive first impression of coming to the Caron campus.
This position is full time.
Schedule can be flexible working either (4) 10 hour shifts, Sunday - Wednesday or Friday to Monday, OR (5) 8 hour shifts Sunday to Thursday.
Position is starting between $16.

DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Provide a positive, in-person first impression to anyone entering the reception area at Caron Pennsylvania.
Warmly welcome patients, family members, referents, staff, vendors and other visitors.
Check in patients and families.
Maintain a schedule of incoming patients and coordinate their arrival with clinical and admissions teams.
Move, tag and secure luggage for the incoming patient.
Set up meeting space for patient/family/counselor/admissions staff to meet with the patient to complete intake.
Create and provide patient medical bracelets.
Sign in visitors and direct them to their destination on campus.
Ensure visitors are aware of and sign confidentiality agreement.
Maintain welcome area and lounge for visitor comfort - stock with refreshments, keep area tidy, stock brochures, etc.
Order new materials as needed.
Complete daily morning and evening tasks for Admissions including checking group lists against the bed boards, give bed numbers for room moves, and update lengths of stay.
Manage Sigmund and bed board related tasks such as patient transfers, discharges, changes to therapy assignments, etc.

Utilize office equipment necessary to perform duties of this position such as walkie-talkie, fax machine, copier, telephone, computer, and phone headset.
Assist Admissions team with reporting and clerical duties as assigned.
Distribute department mail.
Provide exceptional customer service for all incoming callers to Caron's Florida and Pennsylvania campuses.
Uphold Caron's commitment to have calls answered by a live person within two rings and greet callers with a clear and pleasant tone.
Question the caller in a confidential and professional manner about their reason for contacting Caron and ensure he or she is promptly directed to the appropriate staff or department.
Calmly and swiftly enforce campus-wide crisis management in the event of an emergency (bomb threat, fire, medical emergency, system outage, etc.
).
Contact appropriate staff members, liaise with first responders, provide documentation, utilize walkie talkie and/or intercom system to alert on-campus staff, and other accompanying actions as outlined in the Operator Guidebook.
Manage OneCallNow text message system to alert employees of emergencies or outages.
Enroll all new employees in the OneCallNow system.
Utilize the Cisco phone system, VistaPoint software and Jabber chat app for maximum communication and efficiency between departments.
Respond to inquiries from LivePerson Chat on the Caron website in a timely and courteous manner.
Promptly direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
Support various departments across Caron's continuum by providing administrative support and completing various tasks between calls.
These include but are not limited to data entry, compiling data for reports, research in Sigmund software, making packets, etc.

EDUCATION &
Experience:
High School education or equivalency required At least 1 year of experience in customer service required (health care setting is preferred) At least 1 year of experience as a receptionist in a busy environment preferred At least 1 year of working computer knowledge required, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Two years continuous sobriety preferred, if in recovery KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must be polite, professional and customer service oriented with internal and external customers.
Must maintain a professional appearance and wear a mask for the duration of their shift (until further notice).
Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, efficiently and professionally.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform basic computer skills and have proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel/Word/Outlook.
Must have the ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
Schedule flexibility - must be available in person for first and second shifts 365 days a year, including holidays.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
