Podiatrist
OverviewMHM Solutions, a Centurion company, is proud to be the provider of healthcare staffing solutions to state agencies within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Podiatrist to join our team at Wernersville State Hospital located in Wernersville, Pennsylvania.
ResponsibilitiesPodiatric services to be provided will include the following:
resident history, examination, diagnosis (utilizing X-ray, lab, consultations, etc.
) and the application of therapeutics as needed for improvement or correction; initial podiatry examination for all new admissions, plus follow-up treatment; management of chronic podiatry pathology on a regular treatment basis, routine nail care for all residents and more frequent care as indicated by diagnoses and clinical presentation; providing of corrective treatment for minor foot ailments, such as removing corns and bunions by medical, mechanical or surgical means and methods not involving the use of other than local anesthetics or medications; instruction to staff or residents on methods related to care and health maintenance of feet and specific conditions; prescribing of prosthetic foot appliances and proper footwear when necessary to build up to aid in proper gait; recommending of pain and infection reducing medication for foot disorders; exercise skill in the use and application of the instruments and devices of podiatry.
Qualifications Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the medical field of Podiatry Ability to treat residents independently without the need for a permanent assistant No prior criminal charges or disciplinary action against license for infractions related to abuse, neglect, or exploitation Must not be barred from participation in the PA Medical Assistance or Medicare programs Available ShiftDay shift, Monday-Friday BenefitsWe offer competitive compensation for our independent contractors.
